I really liked this place and can't believe there's not a review of it yet! They do really interesting food for a pub, not just the usual fish and chips type thing..I had a lamb shisha which came with bread, salad and rice! The barman made me a delicious cappachino which at £3 seemed a bit steep for a pub but it was lovely! They even have a shisha garden at the back of the pub which would be lovely in warmer months!

Such a disappointing pub experience here. Not far from my flat, I found what seemed like the perfect venue - large front terrace and beer garden. A pub that does shisha in addition to pints? A dream come true! Or so we thought.
The three of us ventured out to this seemingly decent establishment to find a dark and gloomy interior. It's saving grace was a pool table but I doubt I'd be able to see well enough to hit a ball with a cue. The huge establishment was completely empty. And it still took us a couple minutes to get served...in retrospect I am not even sure why. We just stood there trying to get some service and the woman behind the bar was too aloof to notice.
Each of us ordered a different beer and were instantly told that they were out of all of them. There weren't that many options on tap....so how is that possible? I settled for a generic lager and the boys selected a Guinness and another stout-esque brew. We sat outside to drink our pints but NONE of them were edible (or the liquid version of that?) Consumable? We each took a sip to discover a sour and alkaline taste. Literally undrinkable. Clearly the pipes hadn't been cleaned in ages or were not rinsed properly after a wash.
I've never left an unfinished pint unfinished. I've never left a glass of wine unquaffed. But this place actually forced all three of us to stand up and leave our full pints in their overflowing state.
This was a first for me. And also a last.
